JoJo’s gift vouchers are now available! They are valid for one year and you can purchase vouchers (cash or cheque only) directly from our restaurant during normal opening hours, or you can send a SAE (stamped addressed envelope) with a cheque made payable “JoJo’s” and we’ll send you a voucher by return.
Send your payment and SAE to:
JoJo’s Meze, Meat & Fish Restaurant, Gift Voucher Department
2 Herne Bay Road, Tankerton, Whitstable, Kent CT5 2LQ, United Kingdom
Important! Lawyers have made us write some terms and conditions, we know it is a bit dull but please take a second to read the following:
- Vouchers are valid for x1 year from the date of purchase. An expiry date will be shown on your voucher.
- Vouchers can only be used in the JoJo’s Restaurant and in the Coffee Shop.
- Booking is highly recommended as our Restaurant gets very busy. Bookings can be made up to two weeks in advance in person or by calling 01227 274591.
- You must tell us when booking that you intend to pay by voucher.
- You must bring the voucher with you – we cannot accept payment by voucher if it is not physically presented to us!
- Cash change is not given for vouchers, but we will issue another voucher for the balance if you don’t spend it in one go.
- Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash.
- Only original vouchers issued by JoJo’s and fully completed by ourselves are valid. Copies will not be accepted.

We have had a few requests asking if it is OK to bring in birthday cakes as part of a celebratory meal at JoJo’s. Our official (!) policy is that we do ask you to arrange this with us when you make your booking. We do reserve the right to make a charge of £15.00 for this service – this helps cover the cost of providing plates for the cake, washing-up and so-forth.
Please don’t turn up with a cake on the day of the meal, generally us restaurant folk don’t encourage people to bring their own food into our establishments (after all that is our job to provide you with some great cooking) – so we do like to agree in advance and that way everyone is happy. Thank you.

When we first opened JoJo’s we did not have an alcohol licence so it was a BYO (bring-your-own) restaurant and we made a corkage charge to cover the cost of providing glasses, washing them up, recycling the empty bottles and so forth.
Now a few years on, we got our act together, filled in the forms, submitted the paperwork and JoJo’s now has a licence for alcohol. We stock a range of quality wines that are sold by the bottle (white, red, rosé, prosecco and champagne) and some are available by the glass. We also have a variety of bottled beers, lager and cider.
Of course we also provide freshly made coffees, teas, Fentimens ‘real’ fizzy drinks and a selection of chilled fruit, soft drinks and bottled water are also available.
You may still bring-your-own wine (corkage is £3.00 per bottle) or sparkling wine, prosecco or champagne (corkage is £5.00 per bottle). Please don’t use Tesco as we will charge you £6.00 corkage – thank you.
Our BYO policy does not include soft drinks, beer, lager, cider or bottles of spirits etc so please do not bring these into the restaurant – thank you. If in doubt, please ask exactly what you can bring when you make a reservation.
Unfortunately there have been instances of customers being ‘over enthusiastic’ in the amount of alcohol they brought into the restaurant and consumed. We are a friendly local restaurant, and not a nightclub in Kavos, which is why we have had to update our policy. We have tried our utmost to source and provide quality wines you can enjoy with your meal with us and we promise to keep our pricing as competitive as possible.

JoJo’s Restaurant will be closed over Christmas and New Year’s on the following dates: 24, 25, 26, 27 and 31st of December, 1, 2 and 3 of January.
Sorry but JoJo’s will also be closed on New Year’s eve for a private function.
JoJo’s Coffee Shop will also close on the dates noted above.
We will re-open on the evening of the 4th January 2013 (though the Coffee Shop will open at 9am as usual).
For dates not noted above, we will be open as normal – you can find our normal opening days and times at the bottom of this page or click here.
We would also like to point out our menu will not include roast turkey on the run-up to Christmas. We will be serving our normal eclectic menu.
Finally… thank you so much for all your custom throughout the year. It really is appreciated!
