JoJo’s hasn’t missed a beat since moving from a tiny main street restaurant to this handsome seafront building with plenty of alfresco tables. Produce is Kentish – especially the pristine fish – but flavours are Mediterranean: smoky grilled sardines, sharp with lemon and black pepper, excellent salumi and embutidos, mutton and feta koftas, mixed meze. Sadly, it’s no longer BYO (they used to add extra corkage if wine came from Tesco).

JoJo’s needs a good honest cook, who’s willing to learn and has great enthusiasm for food.
You need to have had some experience in a busy kitchen and possess a large dose of common sense. The hours are from Wednesday to Sunday, no split shifts, with Sunday night and all Monday and Tuesday off. This is a great opportunity for the right person to work in a successful and busy restaurant and who is willing to learn many new skills as we make almost everything in-house… from prepping fresh fish straight off the boat, to cooking pigs heads and making bread. You will learn it all.
Our kitchen is very busy. The work (and training) will be challenging and our standards are extremely high. However for the right person this is a chance to work in a high-tempo kitchen and to be a part of a successful team.
Got what it takes? And that includes a Rhino thick skin and the ability to work and learn under pressure?
Then click here to apply.

JoJo’s Restaurant will close for Christmas after lunch service on Sunday 21 December and will re-open for dinner on Friday 2 January 2015. We will be open for lunch and dinner on Saturday 3 January and for lunch on Sunday 4 January – we will then be opening as normal from Wednesday 7 January. Sorry but JoJo’s will be closed on New Year’s eve for a private function.
JoJo’s Coffee Shop last day before Christmas is Sunday 21 December, re-opening on Saturday 27 / Sunday 28 December and Saturday 3 / Sunday 4 January only. The Coffee Shop will be back to usual service on Tuesday 6 January.
We would also like to make you aware that our menu will not include roast turkey or any trimmings on the run-up to Christmas. However we will be serving our normal eclectic menu with seasonal specials!
Finally… thank you so much for all your custom throughout 2014. It really is appreciated!
