JoJo's is closed for our Christmas 2009 break:
We're shut for a few weeks whilst we take a well earned break and enjoy some festive fun. We're also working hard on our new venture, we are busy building a brand new larger and improved JoJo's just around the corner on the seafront and we hope to open our new restuarant in March 2010.

Cook wanted!
As well as our restaurant, we plan to have a coffee shop and deli in our new premises. And we're going to need some help. So if you're a hard working chef, enthusiastic with an amazing attention to detail (not to mentioned thick skinned as you'll be working with Nikki), then drop us an email. We look forward to hearing from you.

The Michelin Guide, Which Good Food Guide and Harden's 2009:
JoJo's is again featured in The Michelin Guide, The Which Good Food Guide and Harden's guides for 2009. As ever we appreciate the recognition but we couldn't do it without you, our customers. Thanks for coming and sharing your evening (or lunchtimes) with us!

Locally and Ethically Souced Fish:
We are proud that all our fish comes from a local 10m trawler, Millennia, which is based in Whitstable harbour. She is the first local boat to be awarded certification for the Responsible Fishing Scheme.

About JoJo's:
Intimate, atmospheric, fun and honest, JoJo's is open lunch times Wednesday to Sunday as well as evenings on Friday and Saturday. We serve freshly cooked food with a Mediterranean influence such as Tuscan salami with fennel seeds to grilled sardines with lemon and black pepper, mouth watering mussels, gorgeous Greek salads, marinated olives and authentic Manchego cheese served with candied peppers. Check out our sample (and ever changing) menu.

To finish off, we offer a selection fantastic cheeses and delicious home-made puddings like mini pavlovas filled with local seasonal fruits and chocolate brownies.

The majority of our food is home-made from the best ingredients. This year we will be using more home-grown produce as well as sourcing free range and organic ingredients from local fishermen, farm shops and farmers’ markets including The Goodshed in Canterbury and Macknades in Faversham. We only use fish from sustainable stocks and we now buy our fish from the local trawler Millennia, the first boat at Whitstable to be awarded certification for the Responsible Fishing Scheme.

Freshly made coffees, and a selection of chilled fruit and soft drinks are also available. JoJo's doesn't have a licence for alcohol (you should see the paperwork), so please bring your own wine and beer (and fizzy pop) to enjoy whilst we cook for you - an off-licence is just five minutes walk away down the road.

We do not have a licence, so please bring your own alcohol and fizzy pop; corkage is £2.00. Please don’t use Tesco as we will charge you £4.00 corkage – thank you. Our corkage charge covers the cost of providing glasses, washing up and recycling your empties. We reserve the right to apply this charge if you bring your own soft drinks as well as for alcohol.

Please leave your credit / debit cards at home, JoJo's only takes cash or cheques with a banker's card. After reading our reviews in the national and local press, you can understand why booking is highly recommended!

We can reserve you a table up to two weeks in advance - so please call us Wednesday to Sunday from 11am on 01227 274591. Sorry, we do not accept bookings by email.

JoJo's is a non-smoking restaurant.

JoJo's has a small exhibition of Paul Watson's photography on show. All works are for sale.
