The new JoJo’s is almost complete. After several months spent totally gutting an old supermarket we have almost finished the transformation into the new larger JoJo’s Restaurant and Coffee Shop. We can’t wait to fire up our new kitchen and get cooking for you!
We had a brief review in Evening Standard’s ES Magazine (see below) as part of an article on Whitstable. Click here to read it online on the thisislondon.co.uk website, you have to scroll down a bit, or we have quoted it below.
Where to eat
JoJo’s, the popular tapas bar, has just reopened in larger premises on Herne Bay Road. Its fresh local cuisine, from canon of lamb to sprats, is carefully sourced (all fish comes from the local 10m trawler Millennia, Whitstable’s first Responsible Fishing Scheme vessel) and gets rave reviews. 2 Herne Bay Road, Tankerton (01227 274 591).

JoJo’s is again featured in The Michelin Guide, The Which Good Food Guide and Harden’s guides for 2008 and 2009. As ever we appreciate the recognition but we couldn’t do it without you, our customers. Thanks for coming and sharing your evening (and lunchtimes) with us!
JoJo’s is proud to be featured in The Michelin Guide, The Which Good Food Guide and Harden’s 2007.

After many month’s of hard work JoJo’s Meze, Meat and Fish Restaurant is at last ready to open its doors for an afternoon ‘taster’ for friends and neighbours. We served a selection of the Mediterranean influenced dishes and judging by the mountains of washing up we faced in the evening, it was a great success. We can’t wait to get started for real now!
