I’m a regular at JoJo’s, 2 Herne Bay Road (01227 274591, www.jojosrestaurant.co.uk). It’s a wonderfully atmospheric, airy space overlooking the sea, offering a Mediterranean tapas-style menu. Everything is cooked in the open kitchen run by head chef Nicky. My favourite dishes include calamari and mouth-watering mutton and feta koftas. It’s BYO and great value (they don’t take credit cards). Corkage is £2 but £5 if the bottle is from Tesco.
